Valkeakoski 01.07.1951 1 share(s) 4000 FIM restricted
Säteri was a producer of artificial fibre like rayon in Valkeakoski. It continued the business of Kuitu Oy. Kuitu had to be shut down because its site was located in Jääski, Karelia, and consequently the WWII Finland lost the area to the Soviet Union.
Säteri was bought by state-owned Kemira in 1975 and closed. After that the factory has had many different owners and several bankruptcies, too. The Asian owners were existing in the early 2000’s, but they transferred the production to China and hogged also the name of Säteri. Now there is Sateri listed in the stock exchange of Hong Kong. It’s different company, of course.
The share of Säteri was listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange from 1951 to 1975.
Nature of business: Chemical industry, production of artificial fibre.
Signed by Harald Jensen, who was better known as a chief of Suomen Trikoo (Finnish Tricot).
